Forth of July fireworks

We set off fireworks with our neighbors. Amber stepped on a sparkler and a firework landed on her chair and so I needed to protect her. Jake thought it would be fun to sit with Amber!

Tyler was excited to be able to set off a few fireworks himself. He was so lucky and had the best forth of July!!

Here is Allie with her friend Carlee. They are cute little buddies.

This was the one minute that Dave sat down. The rest of the time he was figuring out how to make bombs and have fun with the fireworks.

This is Amber and Jake with our neighbors Avery and Blake. They loves sparklers and had so much fun. We enjoyed a late night and had fun with our neighbors.

Forth of July bike parade

We had a neighborhood bike parade. The kids got to decorate their bikes or scooters and ride around the neighborhood for the forth of July. They were so excited and had a lot of fun.
Here is Jake on his bike. He loves riding his two wheeler and is really fast!!
Amber borrowed Tyler's old bike because her bike had a flat tire. She didn't mind though. It was blue for the forth of July!
Tyler had to ride his motorcycle. He made sure that the number two was showing. That was important to him.
When we got home Allie took Chloe for a ride. Chloe likes rides on Allie's motor scooter. It is really cute. We had a fun afternoon with lots of neighbors.

Memorial day weekend.

When our neighbors were gone for memorial day we watched their dog and they said we could do smores in their back yard. It was so much fun. The kids and I enjoyed the weekend. Dave was out of town.

I taught Tyler to make his first fire by himself. He loved it!!

The weekend before his school teacher had her wedding reception. Ms. Butcher is now Mrs. Stergeon. She was an awesome teacher for Tyler!!

We were so lucky to have Brittany and Adrienne come to visit us. Britt did the photo's for a wedding and we were just lucky to spend time with her and Mika! Here is Allie with them.

Tyler wanted to hold her too but that moment she decided to not be happy. Most of the time she was very happy. She as just tired.
Mika and I had just the most amazing connection. Her sweet spirit was so comforting to be around. It was so fun to hold her and love her!! I needed it.
Britt and I went to lunch with Jake and Mika. Of course the whole lunch she was happy until we pulled out the camera. Oh well.
I love Brittany! She is beautiful and so talented!! I feel blessed that I was able to spend time with her. She is amazing!!

Amber and Jake played indoor soccer. This was a game where their two teams played each other. They were so excited to be able to play each other.

They had so much fun playing together. They are little buddies!
The only way we could get Jake to play most of the time is when amber held his hand.
As the season progressed he really enjoyed playing and kicking the ball.
Amber liked playing with the net when she was the goalie! She really enjoyed soccer and did a great job.

The Bowcutts visit.

Easter

Here is Jake on our neighborhood easter egg hunt. It was a cold day but the kids had fun.

Here is the easter bunny. Amber is the only one that wanted a picture with him. The other kids thought he looked too funny.

We colored easter eggs. We used this metalic color for the top and it was messy but fun. Tyler is showing off his eggs.

And here are Allie's. She had a lot of fun with it.

Jake's favorite thing is to make faces in the pictures. They were ready to start the eggs but Jake wanted to just have fun!!

Dave's birthday!!

For Dave's birthday we took a cake to him at the firs station with his sister Bekah's family. The kids were so excited!!
We made him a fire cake. It was fun.

Dave took the kids for a ride like he usually does. It is almost expected now.

I am not the best cake maker but invited some of our friends over and made a helmet cake for Dave. It was a lot of work but I had fun doing it.

Tyler was so happy that we finally had a warm enough day to go to the skate park. He really has no fear. He will go up or down any of the steep drop offs. It is fun to watch him. I love it!

One day Jake decided that he wanted his hair in a mohawk. He was so excited and wore it to preschool that way. It was so funny. Here he is with his peanut butter and honey sandwich still on his face. He is a very happy kid!!

Allie got her first set of braces. They are just on her top teeth. They will move her teeth over to make room for an eye tooth to come down. She is so excited about them and thinks it is the coolest thing. She loves when people notice them!

One day Amber decided that she wanted to color her hair. She came down in my salon while I was doing a client and used water and a color brush and put foils in her hair. She was so proud of herself when whe was done. This was how beautiful it looked!!

One day Jake fell asleep with chocolate in his hand. Then we realized that he had put his hand up to his face and made it look like this. It was so funny. It is all over his face, ear and hair.

Amber, Jake and I watched the parade while Allie, Tyler and Dave rode on the big white roller coaster. Every character kept coming up to us because nobody was around us. They were very spoiled.
Goofy was talking to people and Jake went up to him and gave him a hug. The big kids were riding on the Tower of Terror. The first time we went Jake couldn't ride it. The second time he had taller shoes and so he could go. He really didn't like how it dropped so fast. It was Ambers favorite ride though.

Of course this was the best part for Amber. We waited the longest for Tinkerbell. All of the rides were 5 to 15 minutes. Tinkerbell took 35 whole minutes.

We all love Mickey Mouse. We also saw Merry Poppins and Bert, The Incredibles, Stitch, and The Cars. Minney, Mickey and Goofy we saw several times. We never went looking for any characters besides Tinkerbell and there were never lines for pictures with them. It was sweet.

Tyler held a sign that said "The force is strong with me" and they picked him to be a Jedi fighter. He got to fight Darth Mall. He was in awe the whole time and absolutely loved it. Thanks Heather for the tip.

Sea World and California Adventures.

Here we are at Sea World. The kids loved the shows.

We met our friend Dave Baird there. His friend is a dolphin trainer. She showed us some tricks and spent some time with us. The dolphin is waving to the kids!!

We love Minnie Mouse!!

Here is Allie the firefighter. She had so much fun on the huge roller coaster. She could have gone on it over and over and over again. Allie always had a smile on her face and was extremely helpful. It was great.

More Disneyland!!

Ty loved driving the cars but his favorite rides were the huge white roller coaster and the ride that drops you. He is our dare devil!

Jake went on Space mountain. Most of it was in the dark. He said, "I don't want to go on that again." But he did go again and liked it the second time. That is the way most things were for him.

Amber begged the whole week to have her face painted. Finally on thursday morning she picked this huge flower.

Finally I am posting Disneyland pictures. We went January 18th to the 24th. We went to Disneyland, California Adventures and Seaworld. It was so much fun. There were not very many people there. The lines were amazing. Here we are with Pluto.

Christmas morning.

Here we are on Christmas morning. Amber and Jake thought that the funnest thing to do was pop the bubble wrap. It was very loud but they had a blast.

Here are the kids at the top of the stairs waiting to see if Santa came to their house.

He did!! He brought Amber a gymnastics mat. Every one of our kids use it every day! Tyler got a motorcycle. Jake got a train with a waterfall.

And Allie got a Nintendo DS. She loves a game where you take care of a dog.

I can hardly believe it is already over. Dave and I didn't get anything for the kids because they get a suprise trip while they are off track. We will leave in the middle of January.

Christmas traditions.

We have had fun with our Christmas traditions. Here we are on Christmas eve reading the story of Christ's birth.

The kids made a gingerbread house. Tyler is saying gingerbread kid!

Here is their cute house. It was hard for Allie to let Amber and Jake put candy where they wanted, but I think they did a great job.

We spent an evening with our friends the Stocks, and the kids had a gift exchange.

We love the fun things that we get to do around Christmas time!!

The kid's were so excited because Dave figured out how to make rock candy. The kids call it crystal candy. It takes a few weeks to form the crystals but the kids were very excited when they could finally eat them.

Jake had a preschool thanksgiving program and feast.

They sang cute songs and most of the time he just stared at the parents while the other kids sang. He would occasionally sing when he was looking at us.

Dave, Amber, and I went to watch him. Grandma and Grandpa Biddison came too.

Since Amber lives in her gymnastice clothes; we decided to have a gymnastics party for her. Her babysitters Lacie and Madi came and brought gymnastics equipment to our house and the girls had a blast.

Two of her friends didn't want to be in the picture, but they had so much fun. They were all very happy.

Can you believe that it snowed? Jake and Dave played in the snow while the kids were in school. Amber woke up and said, "Mom, now that it snowed, does that mean Santa will come tomorrow?" I told her that she hasn't even told him what she wants from him yet. She was fine with waiting after that.

We had a foreign exchange student come and stay with us for a little over a week. She would get picked up around 6:30am and get home around 4pm. She was so much fun. Haruka is brilliant. She speaks very good english and is only 9 years old. We took her and her friend Ayaka to the fire department. Ayaka's dad is a firefighter is Japan.
She couldn't believe how many bikes and fun things that we have.
Every day she would walk in and say, "May I please play?" Then the kids would go outside and play in the back yard.
She gave us all gifts. This is Emily's. We took her to gardener village to see the witches. She loved a sugar candy. Most of our candy was too sweet for her though. We really had the best time with her. We are so glad that we had that opportunity!!

Brown Hair

I colored my hair brown. It is the darkest color I have ever had. It looks very different. I like it for now, but it won't last long. That's what happens when you are a hairdresser.

Tyler is 7! Emily made Tyler's birthday cake. It took a long time but was pretty cool.
He had a football party. The kids are waiting to go on a scavenger hunt to find a football to go home with.
They found them at the school park across the street.
We got him a rip stick. Most of us can't even stand up on one of these things, but he is getting better at it. He has had a few pretty hard falls but loves it. For those of you who dont know what it is; it's like a moving skateboard. It's very hard to use.

Our family went to Destin Florida with Emily's family. We had a blast. These are the girl cousins around Amber's age. Makaylin, Karin and Abby. They had so much fun together.Allie and Makenzie were always together.

Emily's half marathon

Family Hike!

We went for a family hike. Their was a trail past snowbird resort in the canyon. This is the lake we hiked to.
I carried Jake up the steep part of the hike.
Tyler always finds a place to climb. Dave with the girls!! Allie was worried because she didn't want to get any mosquito bites.

Gateway Fountains

We went to the Gateway Fountains. The kids had a blast. The funny thing is that all three of the older kids at one point had a fountain go up directly into their mouth.Tyler was hopping because he sprained his foot. He was still happy to play and was the most daring in the water.

Jake was nervous but Allie was determined to get him out in the water.

Boondocks

This was Allie at her dance recital. She had one on June 25th and 26th. This is her Jazz night. She is with her friends Anna and Brooke.

Emily's Half Marathon

Well I did it!!! I ran my first half marathon. It was on April 19th and I got to have Dave, his parents and our kids come and cheer me on.

As I was finishing, the first three Marathon runners were coming in. Can you believe they averaged a little over a 5 minute mile? We came in at the gateway shopping center down town.
This picture is a little dark but it was fun to have my family there supporting me.
Tyler was sad that he could not run the last little bit of the race with me. We will have to do that next time.
This was at the 9 mile mark where my family came to give me high fives. Jake was shocked when he looked up to see me. I guess a two year old doesn't really understand what is going on. Now it is all that he talks about.
I am glad that I did it and that most of the race was down hill!!

Easter

I figured that showing easter pictures now was alright because it is better late than never. We had a fun easter. We went camping and the campground had an easter egg hunt there for the kids. They also had them die easter eggs. Then we went to Dave's sister Bekah's house to spend some time with them and his parents. These are some of the pictures we took of the kids when we got home in their easter clothes.

OUR FAMILY

This is Dave and I. Dave is a firefighter and painter. I am a part time hairdresser. We love camping as a family, going to sporting events and are very busy with our four young kids.Here is our youngest boy Jake. He turned two on November 14th. He is a funny kid. He is starting to have an opinion, but is a great kid. He is our little buddy. He is starting to talk a lot and that is fun for all of us.
Amber is our blue eyed fireball. You will always hear and notice Amber. If not she will make sure that you do. She is very intertaining and funny. She takes dance and loves to show everyone what she had learned.
Tyler is our athlete. He is not afraid of anything. He is also the peacemaker in the family. He loves watching sports, but usually in the middle of the game he will go outside and play himself for a little bit. Tyler is taking karate lessons and is playing rec. basketball.
Allie was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in July. She is a leader and loves to draw and create things. She is taking guitar lessons and dance and loves them. Her favorite show is Hannah Montana and so her and I recently went to her concert and had a great time.

Halloween

The kids and I went to Gardener Village to see the witches. They have lots of witches outside to look at. The kids loved them all. They had a witch on the toylet that the kids liked, one hoola hooping and three baseball witches. That was a fun day.
This is the kids on their way out to trick or treat. Jake didn't understand trick or treating until the second house when he realized how fun it was to eat candy in the stroller on the way to each house. Allie and Tyler had so much fun that they went for an extra hour.

When we got back from trick or treating Jake tried on a had and wig the his grandma and grandpa Biddison had brought over. It was really funny!!

Grandpa's funeral

I went to Oregon to my Grandpa's funeral. He was a great man and I love him very much. It was a sad time, but I enjoyed seeing family. These are the cousins that came. It was nice to see all of them.
Here is a picture of my family with Grandma Jean. She is so special to me. It was fun to see Tami's cute kids.
We missed Ang, but we got four out of the five sisters.
